Learn to be a High School Basketball Official
| The New Officials Basketball Class prepares the participant to officiate high school basketball games. The 6 week course includes classroom instruction on the rules of the high school basketball game and appropriate officiating mechanics. Appropriate officiating philosophy for high school is also discussed. The class provides sufficient training to obtain a basketball officiating license from the State of Illinois. | |

| This class is presented by IACO (Inter-Athletic Council of Officials) and is supported by the IHSA (Illinois High School Association). IACO is an organization made up of 14 officials associations throughout northeast Illinois. Member officials of these associations officiate most IHSA sanctioned high school sports. IACO's mission is to recruit, and train new as well as veteran high school sports officials in standardized methods and techniques of officiating high school sports. | |
