2008 New Officials Football Class This class is currently underway. If still interested in attending, please contact the class coordinator, Tim Kiefer at timk(at)iacao.org The class is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 1st and run 8 weeks right up to the beginning of the high school football season. The class will also include 2 Saturday on field mechanics sessions (July 26th and August 9th) and the IACAO football clinic (August 16th) which will give you the opportunity to officiate live football scrimmage with the assistance of an instructor. If you are not currently a licensed Illinois High School Association (IHSA) official, please visit this website: http://www.ihsa.org/official/forms/ihsa%20officials%20application.pdf to download the application. IMPORTANT: Please fill it out and bring it with you to the first class as well as a photocopy of your driver’s license or state issued identification card and a check or money order made out to the Illinois High School Association in the amount of $25.00. These will be collected at the first class. All though the class is free, the IHSA requires this fee in order to process your application. As you can see from the application, this is a reduced fee because you are attending this class. If you do not bring these items with you, you will have to register with the IHSA directly at the full price of $40.00. If you currently hold an IHSA license in another sport, please add football when you renew your IHSA license in June. The class will be held at 3 locations: Forest View Educations Center in Arlington Heights (Click HERE for map) Lisle High School in Lisle (Click HERE for map) Bremen High School in Midlothian (Click HERE for map) All classes will begin at 7:00pm and finish at 9:00pm starting on July 1st and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
